BulletBoys part way with 17th drummer, hire another

Facebook — According to a recent post on their official Facebook page the Hollywood based BulletBoys have parted ways with their current drummer.

But not just any drummer.

According to the band’s Wikipedia page Shawn Duncan was the band’s 17th drummer.

And it appears that without missing a beat the band has hired the 18th.  His name is Joaquin Revuelta.

Over their storied history BulletBoys have had some known players slammin’ the skins for the group. Aside from the orginal drummer (Jimmy D’Anda) most notably is Guns N’ Roses original member Steven Adler who played with the band between 1998-1999.

On the throne over the years have been Vikki “Vik” Foxx (Enuff Z’Nuff/Vince Neil band) and Brent Fitz (Union/Slash’s Snake Pit).

Also holding court on the drum riser for BulletBoys was the drummer boy, lover boy and social butterfly Troy Patrick Farrell (Mike Tramp White Lion Band). Simply known as Drummer Troy.

BulletBoys are still fronted by the original voice and a founding member Marq Torien.

RENT_ME_BLOCK_Red_White_Sludge_2013Torien has soldiered forward for years with a laundry list of players since original members Mick Sweda (Guitar) and Jimmy D’Anda (Drums) first left in 1993. The pair returned in 1999-2000 and again in 2011 for a brief period.

Lonnie Vencent also an original member has spent more time in the group along with Torien than the other original half has. In recent years the bassist was involved again from 2009-2014 but has been abscent the last few years.

At last count, based on the Wikipedia ‘past members’ list (see below) it appears there have been 43 members in BulletBoys with Torien.

While we’re keeping track, the guitar position is holding steady at 15 members. This includes original Sweda and current axe slinger Nick Rozz who has been on board since 2010.

Make note, some name lead players have also slung on a six-stringer for Torien over time.

They include DJ Ashba (SIXX:AM/Beautiful Creatures/Ex-Guns N’ Roses) and Jason Hook (Five Finger Death Punch/Ex-Vince Neil Band/Ex-Mandy Moore Band).

Also making the list of axe masters are Keri Kelli (Night Ranger/Ex-Alice Cooper Band) and the mean man himself Chris Holmes (Ex-W.A.S.P.)

Duncan played drums for the band between 2014-2016.

If the name Duncan sounds familiar, well it should. The Duncan brothers have all been in and out of several projects over their collective careers as well. The brothers first made a name for themselves with the Hollywood based Odin.

The group is most known for their appearance in “Decline Of Western Civilization- Part 2 The Metal Years“.

Duncan’s brother Jeff also plays with Armored Saint and the brothers are also part of DC4.

BulletBoys are currently getting set to record for a Frontiers SR1 release in 2017. The band’s next appearance is Sat. Dec. 10th at “The Bomb Factory” in Dallas Texas for the annual Hair Metal Holiday concert.
