TED NUGENT TALKS SHIT ABOUT RIKKI ROCKETT
And You Can Listen!
One of our own has been besmirched by Ted Nugent!
We got this MP3 from our friends at KNAC. It’s from this past weekends NAMM. Frankie from KNAC was interviewing Ted and brought up Rikki’s name, and Ted snapped and went off. Ted probably doesn’t even know what Rikki said or anything about him, but that won’t stop Ted from talking shit.
Here is the written transcript of the conversation for those of you with shitty connections who can’t download MP3’s.
KNAC’s Frankie: I know I gotta ask you one more questions then I know I have to wrap this up. Rikki Rockett from Poison, the drummer, he had an article on our KNAC website about, he’s a very strong animal rights activist, and I know he put out a lot of stuff questioning you and your hunting and your United Sportsman. And I want to know if you like have a rebutal for that?
Ted: No, I don’t need to rebut it because everybody knows the truth. You know, if I did as many mind altering drugs as Rikki, I’d probably spew up such nonsense too. I really, quite honestly, feel sorry for the guy. You know he’s really kind of a joke, you know. I mean, he’s not a force to reckon with. In all sincerity, I appreciate nothing more in this world when goofy guys like Rikki Rockett…and that would be Rikki Rockett with a capitol R…his family name of Rockett is well known in the animal rights world. (Laughs) And the Rockett family are really respected for their opinions that animals, in between the barbecues, that somehow gots some rights. I just don’t know if I should laugh, throw up, or dial 911. So we’ll just continue to la-la Rikki Rockett to hate Ted Nugent and prove that when the asswipes don’t like you, you’re not an asswipe.
Wow. A simple, "I disagree with his opinion" would have been fine!
But to get the full impact you might want to listen to it yourself. We have the MP3 below, so click on the link and check it out.
I Want To Download Metal Sludge’s 1st MP3! Let Me Here Ted Talk Shit
It’s 1:21 and 1.25mb
What does Rikki have to say about this? Well of couse we have his thoughts. Here is Rikki’s response:
He sounds like some old fuckin’ codger. Well, he kinda is, but then again, Steve Tyler doesn’t sound weird and I think he’s older. Ted’s a winey assed fuck. He just talks. No complete thoughts.
Many people think they have me pegged. I do not live in the city in a high rise. I live in the high desert in a small town. I am not a Democrat, I am a Republican. I really am only what is considered liberal when it comes to AR issues and first semester abortion when there is no alternative. (It’s a moral issue, not a Government issue). I am not anti-gun. I own three guns and I hike daily in the dry lake beds and the brush with my dogs. I’m not up puking from being drunk at 4:00 a.m. I do not hate Ted or his music, I hate his stance on animals. I do not come from a dysfunctional family, my parents are still together after 52 years. I don’t do drugs. Have I? Yes. Do I? Not anymore. Am I a recovering drug addict? Nope, I never got hooked. Thank God. Have I been a pussy hound in the past? Yep. So was Ted, maybe we have one or two things in common. I don’t wear leather, I don’t eat at McDonald’s, yes, I get enough protien and yes, I have a life. No, I’m not ill or lacking anything. I train in submission wrestling several times a week and help teach kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I also off-road several times a week, write music and have great friends from all walks of life. To repeat my self… Yes, I have a life! Too much stuff to do really. The more compassion I share, the more comes to me and the more the negativity rolls off me. I am saying all of this because of all the people who think they know who and what I am just because I fight for the rights of animals not to suffer and because I am a member and founding father of Poison. I would and do fight for the same compassion for people. It so happens that animals are my fight and passion. I was an EMT and volunteered for 3 years back in PA. The burning passion to help save animals stemmed from that to some degree and now animals are my focus and I am here to tell you that it is essentially the same fight. Compassion is compassion, on all levels. You can’t draw a species barrier. Killing is killing. There is always an alternative. "People are compassionate up to the point that they are inconvenienced."
For the animals,
I say we settle it in the octagon!
By the way, you can listen to the entire Ted Nugent interview on KNAC, but you’ll only find this part on Metal Sludge. Thanks to Rob Jones for bringing this to our attention.
