Bret Michaels Pens All-Star Anthem “Get Your Rock On” with alternate version titles “GET YOUR RIDE ON” used my Speed Channel
Rocker and avid supercross fan Bret Michaels has penned a new anthem, “Get Your Rock On” and exclusively for the first-ever opening sequence of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series this season on the Speed Channel an alternate lyrics version titled “Get Your Ride On” will lead into Supercross coverage on the Speed Channel and will be updated with new supercross footage weekly. “We are honored that Bret took his time to write and perform the song ‘Get Your Ride On’ for SPEED,” said Frank Wilson, SPEED Vice President of Production and Executive Producer. “Over the years Bret has shown his passion for Supercross racing is genuine and we are sure this video will get our fans fired up for the Supercross season, as it did us.
A true anthem for the sport, “Get Your Ride On” is not only multi-generational but multi-national. Appropriately setting off his 30th year anniversary Def Leppard’s Phil Collen not only played the high powered lead and contributed rhythm guitars to the stellar track but sang backing vocals as well. Collen and Def Leppard tour globally each year and Collen also tours with his new supergroup- also featuring Paul Cook of the Sex Pistols and Simon Laffy of Girl- Manraze.
“Get Your Rock On” also features My Darkest Day’s Sal Costa who is an exceptional modern talent and amzing musician to work with, as well as the Bret Michaels’ Band’s very own platinum award winning Pete Evick. Michaels played all other instruments himself, including the beat box.“Get Your Rock On” was written and produced by Michaels and Evick
