A press release from the family of Vinnie Chas:
Vincent Anthony Pusateri, aka “Vinnie Chas” of the rock band, “Pretty Boy Floyd,” passed away suddenly on April 6, 2010, in Vancouver, Washington.
Vince was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 4, 1963. He leaves behind his parents, Charles and Karen, brothers Michael and Richard, plus many other family members and friends. He is deeply mourned and greatly missed by all that knew him. A private family service was held on April 13, 2010. We will release a notification at a future time if additional services will be held or what memorial opportunities will be available to the public.

To date there has been no official statement or comment from any current member of Pretty Boy Floyd or the Chas family.

In recent days there has been news circulating that original PRETTY BOY FLOYD bassist Vinnie Chas had died. The following message has been posted on Facebook by guitarist Aeriel Styles, who played with Vinnie and Pretty Boy Floyd:
“Dear friends,
I am extremely sad to confirm here that original Pretty Boy Floyd bassist Vinnie Chas has passed away. There have been posts and rumors on the net, so I called the company Vinnie worked for to confirm it for myself. I do not have the all specific details and the family wished to keep it private, so all I know at this time is that it was a sudden onset of illness and he passed away over Easter weekend. He called into work ill on Friday and when no one could reach him on Monday, they sensed something was wrong and went to his home, where he was found dead. Vinnie was going to be working with me on some new recordings for KERY DOLL, but unfortunately we ran out of time. I rarely get the time to log on to Facebook, so forgive me if I cannot respond to messages for some time. Plus, as you can imagine, this is devastating news and I need some time to grieve.”

There has been a rumor circulating that original Pretty Boy Floyd bassist Vinnie Chas has passed away. We have reached out to several former associates but have not been able to confirm anything as of this update.
The rumor started a few days ago, and it has been said that he had died over Easter weekend. Vinnie’s official myspace >HERE< has not been logged onto since March 29th 2010.
