Sad News — Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has reported that his cancer has returned. A message has appeared on Vivian’s official Facebook page earlier today that reads as follows:  “I’m saddened by the fact that my cancer has returned. However, I’m beyond consolation that its return will prevent me from being able to do my job for a while.”

The guitarist continued with, “I’m still working on a schedule of treatment with my doctors, but I will see you all very soon. My apologies.” A screen capture of Vivian’s message is below.

The rumor is that Trixter guitarist Steve Brown will be filling in for Campbell.

Brown previously filled in for Campbell and made his debut with the band at the pre-game show at a NFL International Series games on Sunday, September 28th at Wembley Stadium in England.
