GOING, GOING, GONE!
Robbie Crane quits Bobby Blotzer’s Ratt

Facebook — Robbie Crane makes it official and has ‘resigned’ as the bassist in Bobby Blotzer’s version of the band Ratt.

Crane writes in a post on his facebook; “As of today, I have resigned my position as the bass player of Bobby Blotzer’s band “Ratt”.

A southern California native, Crane, 47 was previously a member of Ratt from 1996-2012.

Crane continues with; “While the events of the past few weeks did play a small role in my decision, I feel like it’s time for me move on and focus on the positive things in my life…”

Metal Sludge was first to report back on August 5th that several members were set to leave Bobby Blotzer’s version of Ratt.

Guitarist Nicolas “Blaze” Baum left the group after putting in notice that last weekend’s run of shows would be his last.

Bobby Blotzer the lone original member of his version of Ratt released a long detailed explanation (press release) regarding Baum’s departure. Many fans referred to it as ‘dirty laundry’ and Blotzer has since removed his original posting.

No official statement yet from the band regarding replacements, but many sources are noting Stacey Blades (Ex-L.A. Guns) as the new guitarist and Todd Kerns as bassist.

Crane is currently hard at work with his full-time group Black Star Riders, who are recording new music in Nashville.

We have screen captured Robbie Crane’s official release below.
