GUNS N’ ADLER?
Fans wanna know; ‘Is Steven Adler gonna be there’

Hollywood, CALIFORNIA  — The Guns N’ Roses reunion is so close that you can almost taste it. And it seems like it’s more realistic than ever that Guns N’ Roses is in fact going to reunite.

But how many of the original fab-5 lineup will be involved is the million dollar question.

Fans want to know and are speaking out on social media.

The world knows it’s going to be the iconic frontman Axl Rose and the equally iconic lead guitarist Slash. These guys are the Mick and Keith or the Dave and Eddie duo that are Guns N’ Roses’ one-two punch.

Then there is Duff McKagan.

Insiders and friends alike seem to agree that Duff appears from the outside looking in – that he is the voice of reason within the band.

The bands bassist appears to have the magical touch, and we’re gonna go out on a limb that Michael Andrew (Duff’s real first and middle name) was a integral part helping to balance out the band’s ugly past.

In the end, Duff’s magical touch likely brought that one-two punch back together.

Then we have Izzy Stradlin.

Where is Izzy?

Haven’t we seen that somewhere before? Of course we have, and for anyone under 40, or who may not be the biggest fan of the band – well those words have a meaning.

In the bands 1991 “Don’t Cry” video a sign appeared in the video that simply read “Where’s Izzy?” as the entire band played on, a sign appears at some point with these words, but no Izzy in sight.

Around that same time Stradlin’ left the band before the “Use Your Illusion” tour and was replaced by Gilby Clarke.

But even before Izzy left, Steven Adler was fired.

It seems like it was forever ago, and it was. It was over 25 years ago.

SA_June_2015_1According to wikipedia Adler was officially let go from Guns N’ Roses in July 1990.

Now on the eve of a New Year, and what appears to be on the cusp of a mega announcement, lot’s of fans are asking; ‘will Steven Adler be involved?’

Steven himself has been active playing live, recording and most of all – keeping clean.

The band’s original back bone on drums has had his troubles with substance (as have Slash and Duff) over the years but it appears the hardest of his partying is all in his past.

Fans have asked about Izzy as well, but Izzy has pretty much kept a super low profile over the years. One would think if he didn’t like all the hype and excitement in 1991 as a man in his late 20’s, it’s hard to imagine he would appreciate it now at 53.

It is safe to say that anyone in this band during the next few years is gonna be invaded privately and beyond.

In an interview in early 2015 Adler said he would love to play in a reunited Guns N’ Roses.

Many fans have posted about this in recent days and weeks. Some have also asked, “can he still play the songs” which seems beyond silly. Steven himself hasn’t lost a single step.

According to online clips Steven has played live with every member of the band exept Axl in recent years.

There is no doubt that Steven can still play the songs, and plays them better than anyone out there. Afterall, he is the man on those drums who we hear on those classic songs that Guns N’ Roses fans around the world have come to know and love.
