GUNS N’ FRIENDS
Slash says ‘everybody’s getting along’ on current Guns N’ Roses stadium tour

Ultimate Classic Rock — Slash has given his first interview since the Guns N’ Roses reunion kicked off with a handful of dates in April. The guitarist talked to Aerosmtih drummer Joey Kramer on Boston’s WZLX, and it sounds like things are going fine between him and his old bandmates so far.

Guns N’ Roses’ summer stadium tour launched last week in Detroit, and is currently scheduled to run through August. Slash got back together with bassist Duff McKagan and singer Axl Rose for their first performances together in more than 20 years after a long period of estrangement. They’re even calling the tour Not in This Lifetime, referencing an old Rose quote alluding to a possible reunion.

According to Slash, it’s been a great experience so far. “Everybody’s playing great — playing nice,” he told Kramer. “Everybody’s getting along and everybody’s playing great, and the shows have been awesome. We all were pretty positive that that would never happen, so it’s still sort of blowing our minds. It seems so surreal to me, you know. But everybody’s really getting along great and I think everybody’s come a long way, and it’s all cool.”

You can listen to the interview below.

After the GNR tour wraps up, Rose will head back on the road with AC/DC, whom he joined onstage in Europe as a temporary singer for the Australian band after vocalist Brian Johnson was forced off the tour because of hearing problems.

There’s no word if Guns N’ Roses will take their reunion show overseas after the North American dates are over. You can see all of the scheduled shows below.
