Examiner — Akron ,Ohio- The Rubber City has had many famous sons and several of them have been taken too early but their memories will remain . In honor of a fallen song and dance man ,the the one and only Tom Keifer of Cinderella fame will headline a tribute concert for the family of Akron’s Jani Lane formally of Warrant .The Akron Civic Theatre will be packed with those who both personally and professionally knew Jani Lane ( real name John Oswald ) and will present a legacy of his music .

The purpose of the event it two fold , one to honor the memory and two the funds will go directly to the children of Jani Lane to help a family survive without a father .Many local and national musicians will be in attendance to do their part .The event is this Thursday and the evening planned is Doors at 7 pm. Joey DePasquale will be kicking off the evening. Our tribute to Jani Lane will feature Billy Morris, Mike Fasano, Ginger Zavodney (Shawn) former members of Warrant. Dave Brooks will be guest singing. Headlining will be Cinderella’s Tom Keifer playing a full electric set.

Bobbie Jean Brown, Rowanne Brewer Lane and Taylar Lane will be in attendance. This will be a great show for a great cause so make sure you are there . To be honest I never had the chance to see Jani perform live and in person and to this day its one of my musical regrets so this is a show not to miss .
