Mick Mars drops music teaser for ‘1313’ project featuring John Corabi

 

Ultimate Classic Rock —  Nearly a year ago, we learned that, upon completion of Motley Crue‘s last-ever tour, Mick Mars was going to be working on a new project with John Corabi, who provided the lead vocals on Motley Crue’s 1994 self-titled album. Less than three weeks after the band’s final show, they’ve already begun recording in Nashville’s Blackbird Studios.

MM_JC_Feb_14_2016_8Mars posted the above picture to his Facebook page and gave it the following caption. “Blackbird studio yesterday. Dave Natale, John McBride,(owner) another John, & me. What a great great time I’m havin creating new, fresh, greasy LOUD ASS, slamming music.”

Corabi joined Motley Crue after they had parted ways with Vince Neil in the early ’90s. But the album they recorded clashed with the alternative revolution and sold considerably less than its predecessor, Dr. Feelgood. Although they planned to continue with Corabi, Motley Crue’s label pressured them into bringing Neil back into the band. Corabi has said that his firing nearly caused him to commit suicide.

Now Mars has officially dropped a few teaser clips found on Youtube. We have posted them below with a few recent pictures of the guys in studio along with what appears to be a logo of sorts for the band.
