PARAMEDICS CALLED
Bret Michaels ailing from illness forced to postpone show in Albuquerque

Twitter – According to Bret Michaels official twitter page the singer was forced to postpone his Saturday night show at the last minute.

Michaels who is no stranger to illness was scheduled to play “Isleta Casino & Resort” but his blood sugar was over 400 and spiked as high as 490 throughout the day.

Paramedics were called and tended to the singer.

The Poison frontman is a life-long diabetic and has had similar scares over his career.

In May 2014 Michaels cut a Manchester New Hampshire concert short and a USA Today article noted the singer “basically had to be dragged off the stage in his sickest of conditions.”

The following night in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania was cancelled as well.

The Bret Michaels band’s guitarist Pete Evick wrote about Saturday nights incident: “I told him hours ago not to play, but here he is 15 minutes before show time with the paramedics tending to him.”

“Bret insisted on being there for the fans, but the CEO of Isleta was in the room and made the call for Bret. He’s taking the night off and we will be back on Saturday May 14th” added Evick.
