Rumor From The Streets — Metal Sludge has inside information that Ex-Quiet Riot singer Seann Nicols will now be the new frontman for Bobby Blotzer’s version of Ratt.

Nicols, who was just fired from Quiet Riot after 5 shows is next in line to go round n’ round with Blotzer’s project says our source.

Quiet Riot released the former Adler’s Appetite singer less than a week ago and Metal Sludge was the first American based news source to break the story.

The band fired Nicols who was hired last fall after Jizzy Pearl (Love/Hate, Ex-L.A. Guns, Ex-Ratt) parted ways with the group.

Pearl fronted the band for a 3 year stint (2013-2016).

The new guy, who is by Wikipedia count the 7th singer in Quiet Riot is an American Idol star named James Durbin.

Billboard music confirmed our story the following day with the band’s official press release.

Quiet Riot’s drummer Frankie Banali states the following to Billboard; “After doing all of five live shows [with Nicols], it became apparent to everybody that it really wasn’t going to work.”

The Billboard article continued with; “Banali is excited about the band’s new addition. He recalls seeing Durbin sing Judas Priest’s “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” during season 10 of American Idol. “I said, ‘This guy is really talented,'” recalls Banali. “He was so passionate about the whole metal [scene], the whole rock scene. At the time, I didn’t have a crystal ball that told me, ‘You’re going to be working with him in the future.'”

The source is alleging that Nicols will front Blotzer’s Ratt for their “Prairie Knights Casino” concert on Sat. March 18th.

The Bobby Blotzer’s version of Ratt show is in Fort Yates North Dakota and includes Firehouse as support.

Below are several live videos of Nicols performing with past projects including Quiet Riot and Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler’s side project Adler’s Appetite.

Stay tuned for more as this story develops.
