Facebook — RED DRAGON CARTEL has handed the lead microphone over to SHAWN CROSBY for their run of July shows according to CROSBY’s official Facebook page. See screen capture below.

Metal Sludge first reported the former JONES STREET singer as a likely candidate for the postion back on June 24th right HERE.

CROSBY fronted his fair share of Hollywood projects over the 80’s and 90’s but it was JONES STREET who came the closest to the next level with the typical hype from a Los Angeles based group, headline shows, supporting VINCE NEIL on solo shows and grabbing their share of press in the now defunct Metal Edge magazine.

SC_RDC_July_2015_9JONES STREET featured a few familiar faces who are still active today in the business.. The band’s co-founder JONNY COFFIN on lead guitar is best known for his globally succesful COFFIN CASE brand.

ANTHONY FOCX was the band’s drummer who turned a few heads when he was featured in ALICE COOPER’s MTV video for the mega hit “Poison”. FOCX also grabbed screen time in “Wayne’s World”. Many will also recall FOCX was part of BEAUTIFUL CREATURES and in recent years has kept busy living in Nashville and working in the studio. Over the last decade plus he’s been putting his name on several production related projects as producer and enginner. Add to that he has mixed and mastered a list of who’s who in rock n’ roll including AEROSMTH, BUCKCHERRY, QUEENSRYCHE, VINCE NEIL, ACE FREHLEY and NIGHT RANGER.

CROSBY himself kept his pipes primed over the years fronting a handful of band’s post JONES STREET but nothing that attained the group’s early 90’s buzz. Aside from the AC/DC tribute BACK IN BLACK in which CROSBY shared the stage with members of WARRANT, RATT and VINCE NEIL BAND he’s kind of been off the radar other than the occasional jam with STEEL PANTHER.

In 2008 indy label Back Alley Records finally released JONES STREET “Dancin’ With The Devil”. The 11 tracks were all originally recorded between 1991 and 1995 but never saw the light of day. Below are several tracks found on youtube which are highlighted by the title track and their radio friendly “Thieves of Love”.

A review on Sleazeroxx says: “There isn’t a dull moment on Dancin’ With The Devil. Jones Street is a great band with a gritty, dirty edge.”

Look for RED DRAGON CARTEL in a dozen cities throughout July. Meet n’ greet offers available HERE.
