Hot Tip — Metal Sludge has received a tip from a source that claims JAKE E LEE is trying to bring DARREN JAMES SMITH back to sing for RED DRAGON CARTEL.  That or the group has their eyes set on singer NATHAN JAMES.

The source states that bassist ANTHONY ESPOSITO says they plan to bring back SMITH who had to leave because of VISA issues. We’ve included a screen capture below.

The source also claims it’s down to one of these two to front the band.

A second source very close to the situation also stated that drummer JONAS FAIRLEY wanted his fellow Canadian SMITH back in the group as well, but it’s not likely FAIRLEY has the pull to make that a final decision.

Upon receiving these tips Metal Sludge reached out to some of those close to the camp and have heard some interesting bits from the inside. From what we’ve been told, it’s not looking good that SMITH or JAMES are likely to join RED DRAGON CARTEL.

Now after 4 different singers since March, JAKE E LEE may have no choice but to consider sticking with his latest frontman PAUL D’EATH, or will we see a 5th singer?

Metal Sludge has an ear to the pipeline and has heard the name SHAWN CROSBY come up in conversation as a possible candidate as well.

CROSBY is best known for fronting the LA based JONES STREET in the 90’s. He also sang for the AC/DC tribute BACK IN BLACK that featured ERIK TURNER (Warrant) and ROBBIE CRANE (Ex RATT/VINCE NEIL BAND).

Below is a video of CROSBY jamming with the legendary STEEL PANTHER.

SMITH left the band on March 28th and RED DRAGON CARTEL has since featured 3 different vocalists each lasting less than a month.

Stay tuned…
