Metal Sludge — The new Super Duo featuring Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini of Ratt, have announced their lineup for their new project.

While rock crowds have been screaming for a Ratt reunion for years, an official ‘full blown all original’ members gathering will sadly never happen as Robin ‘King’ Crosby is no longer with us…

But… it seems we’ve gotten 1 step closer, as Pearcy and DeMartini have officially agreed to package their singer / guitarist skills and are going out to perform the Ratt music catalog.

The pair appeared on a new episode of the Eddie Trunk show this week and broke the news as to who else, will be joining them on stage come May 4th at the annual M3 Rock Festival.

The Pearcy and DeMartini Super Duo will appear at M3, on Sunday May 4th 2025

Stepping in stage right will be Carlos Cavazo, a long-time former Ratt member and the classic era Quiet Riot guitarist.

Taking the drum riser will be Blas Elias from T.S.O., who as we all know was also an original member of Slaughter.

And last but not least, will be Matt Thorne on bass.

Thorne has long history with these guys, including being a former member of Ratt (M Ratt and Mickey Ratt) with Pearcy, as well as being an original member of Rough Cutt and Jailhouse.

As Metal Sludge reported on January 27th, in our M3 article, we wrote: “The standout surprise for this event in addition to Roth, would be the almost reunited Ratt 2-piece.

Stephen Pearcy and Warren DeMartini will headline Sunday night and it marks their first live gig together in many years… but, it’s not being billed as Ratt, yet rather, “Performing Ratt”.

No Juan and no Blotz, and as to whom the duo will enlist to fill those spots and play the harmony leads with Warren, is not entirely known as of press time, but maybe they’ll call up Carlos Cavazo?

It’s a good bet it might be a member or two from Pearcy’s solo band.

Perhaps Blas Elias (Slaughter, T.S.O.) will appear on drums, and or Matt Thorne (Rough Cutt) on bass… both make perfect sense, with each having their own storied career and history in the business, Cavazo included.

The early rumor into the Metal Sludge inbox is, that this Pearcy & DeMartini thing, is separate from Pearcy‘s solo band, and we have heard, the Ratt duo are looking to do more gigs and this will likely become a thing into the foreseeable future.”

Now, it’s set and the group will make its official debut at the M3 Rock Festival on Sunday May 4th 2025 as the weekend’s closer.

Pearcy and DeMartini both talked in-depth with Trunk about all kinds of stuff, including how they first shaped their mega-platinum debut “Out Of The Cellar” back in the day, in a Culver City California apartment, they called Ratt Mansion West.

Trunk made sure to ask questions the fans wanted answers to as well, and pressed the pair with, “Will Juan (Croucier) or Bobby (Blotzer) be involved with this project at any point”, to which Pearcy quickly replied with an emphatic; “No.”

Pearcy then added; “We don’t want to hit a brick wall with this”, seeming to insinuate, that involving the others, could create strife within.

DeMartini seemed in good spirits and the guitarist heaped praise on his singer, friend and long-time band-mate throughout the interview.

Trunk asks DeMartini about other opportunities, or if he was ever approached to join other bands, do other things, maybe a solo record during his time away from the Ratt camp and the guitarist answered with; “Absolutely… I keep writing… (but) my choices… my first choice is, doing it with this guy (Stephen Pearcy) singing man. I mean, I just, F#@king love his voice, and I don’t know. That’s my first choice, you know, I work on singing a lot, but I am not as good as this guy yet.”

Pearcy jumps in with; “Or yell, as good as this guy yet”, as they all break into laughter.

Pearcy then goes onto say how appreciative he is for the band’s fans, all demographics and the younger generations, which he calls ‘Rug Rats‘.

Look for the Pearcy and DeMartini Super Duo to be booking
and appearing more in the coming months!
