Metal Sludge — Riki Rachtman was recently a guest on the Idiots In Bars podcast and covered a lot of bases on his past, the present, and a peak into his future as well.

Rachtman and the Idiots In Bars hosts Chris and Rayen cover more subjects than all 3 of them probably covered in High School and we’ve shared them all below.

In short, if you are a fan of the 80’s and the infamous Sunset Strip and Hollywood rock scene, than this podcast episode is right up your alley.

Rachtman goes in depth about a lot of things and offers plenty in the way of history and opinion from his life in the middle of the 80’s, the 90’s and of course the sordid tales hanging with the who’s who of rock bands.

“I must have been a prick back then to deal with, I can imagine… that I was not such a great guy” says Rachtman about being the Cathouse guy and the Headbanger’s Ball guy from MTV as well, which in turn had everyone pulling him every which way.

Rachtman talks about attending a Poison show at the Country Club in the Valley, and how Bobby Dall threw a birthday cake at someone. Riki then joined in the fun and threw some at a security guard which resulted in him being hand-cuffed and arrested.

Rachtman goes on to tell stories about his friends from all those bands – you know the names – and there is a little bit of everything… the good, the bad and of course some of the ugly too.

“I can never stop praising Guns N’ Roses, because not only are they the Fricking greatest, but they were legit, they are so legit, you know” said Rachtman.
