Metal Sludge — Music fans Down Under will be happy to hear that American rock singer Cherie Currie of The Runaways will be returning to tour Australia in September 2025.
Silverback Touring and SD Entertainment have just announced Currie‘s last ever Aussie shows that will see her performing in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Currie, 65, has been doing farewell tours in the recent year throughout Europe, The United Kingdom and now Australia has been announced.
Currie‘s live set is a mix of songs from The Runaways catalog along with tracks from her various solo releases and side projects.
The tour will be supported by German rockers SHAMELESS who will be fronted by Stevie Rachelle the voice of TUFF on all dates.
The Munich based SHAMELESS have toured extensively in Europe, The United Kingdom and Scandinavia over the last 25 years with Rachelle fronting the band, but this tour will be their first Down Under.
SHAMELESS features the band’s founder Alexx Michael (bass), Dennis Post (guitars), Danny Raygun (guitars), Markus Herzog (drums) and Rachelle (lead vocals).
Like all SHAMELESS shows the set will be a split, mixing both songs from the band’s studio albums along with the TUFF hits that fans have come to know and love.
There will also be local / regional support from Australian based rock groups in each city.
Silverback Touring has been bringing rock fans Down Under concert runs for years including tours from; Yngwie Malmsteen, Skid Row, Stryper, Hardcore Superstar, Buckcherry, Faster Pussycat, Fozzy, Candlebox, Mike Tramp’s White Lion, GlamFestOz, Tyketto and John Corabi among others.
