SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA — Have you ever wished you could go back to the 80’s and experience what it was like during the peak years of the Sunset Strip?

Well, you can’t… however, the videos we’re sharing below will give you a pretty good taste as to what it was really like at these clubs back-stage, on-stage, at the after-parties and so much more.

There is some awesome content shot at Cathouse, Spice on Hollywood Boulevard, Country Club in Reseda, Madame Wong’s in Santa Monica and where else but on the Sunset Strip.

We’ve grabbed a few awesome vintage videos from our good friend Biff Malibu who was part of the scene during the heyday, and he was always filming segments for his show Biff TV.

Biff TV and host Biff Malibu (not his real name) were all over the clubs, the parties, and even at some point… the popular local Hollywood stud was on National TV as well.

Biff Malibu looking more-like Biff Jovi on Love Connection with Host Chuck Woolery back in 1988.

That’s correct, Biff appeared as a contestant on Love Connection.

Biff was clearly a ladies man for sure, and the Hollywood socialite was well known for his random interviews in clubs, back-stage and in the VIP section too.

Below we’re sharing a handful of killer videos from his Youtube channel @Bifftv which gives viewers a great look behind the scenes of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip during the absolute peak of the 1980’s and early 1990’s.

In these videos we’re sharing you will see cameos, interviews and more with the who’s-who of entertainment… which includes rockers, rappers, models, actors, porn stars and pretty much every walk of life that made up the raunchy Hollywood scene.

While some of the footage is a bit grainy, this stuff is raw and uncut, and shows you just how fun the scene was back in the day.

Appearances in alphabetical order include; Alice Cooper, Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses), Billy D’Vette (Pair-A-Dice), Billy Idol, Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Dayle Gloria (Promoter), Howie Hubberman (Manager), Ian Astbury (The Cult), Jani Lane (Warrant), Julian Lennon, Ken Ober (MTV), Lorraine Lewis (Femme Fatale), Michael Schenker, Randy Castillo (Ozzy Osbourne Band), Ray Gillen (Badlands), Rikki Rockett (Poison), Rueben Blue (Rock City News), Sam Kinison, Sam Mann (Sam Mann & The Apes), Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Taime Downe (Faster Pussycat) and Tone Loc.

Watch them drink, smoke, party, kiss, ride motorcycles, play guitar and live it up like the night would never end.

There are also various segments of performances, live shows and jams that include; Bang Tango, Billy Idol, Electric Love Hogs, Exodus, Johnny Crash, P-I-G (Feat: Stephen Pearcy, Taime Downe, Tracii Guns, Kyle Kyle & Tigg Ketler) and Suicidal Tendencies among others.

Oh, and there also appears to be a Dance and Bikini Contest or two in these clips as well.

We’re sure there are other rockers who we may have missed, but if you care to spend the time and watch some of these videos, you will get a good idea of what was going on.

A huge shout-out to Biff Malibu for this, and word is, he’s got a bunch more of these stashed away on VHS tapes and video reels… which we encourage him to load these up and share with the masses.

We’d also like to pay tribute to some of these awesome people who are no longer here but are part of these cool clips from way back in the day… RIP to our friends: Jani Lane, Ken Ober, Randy Castillo, Ray Gillen and Sam Kinison.
