“I can’t tell you how hard it’s been not to leak this announcement.”
— Sammy Hagar about his 2026 Las Vegas residency shows
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Music acts doing a Las Vegas residency has become quite the regular attraction over the years, and these events have continued to draw crowds.
The city of sin has been a go-to for shows for decades, and the legacy rock bands of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s have returned to the desert more than once after having success doing a residency in the past.
Now, Sammy Hagar aka the Red Rocker is returning to do it again.
Hagar, 77, has done it before and now he will return for not one – but two different runs of shows – both in the spring and again in the fall of 2026.
Hagar will bring his “The Best Of All Worlds” residency to Dolby Live at Park MGM for 11 performances March 11-21 and September 18-26, 2026.
Hagar did his first ever residency earlier in the year (2025) doing 9 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM back in the spring April 30th thru May 17th 2025, and now less than a year later the Red Rocker is returning.
Blabbermouth have shared information about the announcement which reads as follows: “The 2026 residency will reunite Hagar with the powerhouse “Best Of All Worlds” band featuring fellow Hall Of Famer and original VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, 15-time Grammy nominee and guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, powerhouse drummer Kenny Aronoff, and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte. The high-octane “only in Las Vegas” show is celebration of Hagar‘s legendary catalog, including the deepest dive yet into his tenure with VAN HALEN yet. The Las Vegas residency represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see this band of brothers deliver one of the most legendary hits-packed live shows of their careers.
Sammy said: “I can’t tell you how hard it’s been not to leak this announcement. Those last nine shows were some of the best shows I’ve done in my life. I love this band like no other and can’t wait to do it again. One listen to the live residency record coming out and you will understand this is my idea of retirement! Beats golf any day.”
