LOS ANGELES, California — Hello, and thank you for checking in today with Metal Sludge.

This is Stevie Rachelle, the Founder, Owner, and CEO of Metal Sludge since inception in 1998.

I have a few simple questions, and will keep this short…

Are you a Fan of Metal Sludge?

How long have you been reading or visiting the website?

Have you enjoyed the website, whether in the hey-day, a decade ago, or last week?

I dreamed up and created this website, long before social media existed and before most had a computer or an email account.

Metal Sludge launched on September 1st 1998 after a month of planning and now the website is into its 28th year… crazy, right?

And, it’s been % Free the entire time… which is amazing… but thinking back, Metal Edge, Rip, Hit Parader, Faces, POWERLINE, Metalixx, SPIN, Rolling Stone along with KERRANG! and all the other magazines were not!

I also understand, that social media, and websites, are not a paid for service, but of course, a lot of sites, artists, pod-casters, vloggers and bloggers have Patreon, or have used a Kick Starter of GoFundMe, to help them establish and continue to stay relevant and alive.

I have never used any of those platforms at any point, and never charge for a Meet & Greet when I perform live… it’s just not something I feel comfortable with.

With that… I ask that if you feel the Metal Sludge website has ever given you a good read, a laugh, or any enjoyment over the 1/4 of a century the website has been active… firstly, I thank you for that… and secondly, I ask that you help me, help keep the website alive and running.

I am not looking for a handout, but if you like please visit the official Store on the website, buy a Metal Sludge T-shirt, a Hoodie, maybe a Beanie or anything else from the RLS Records or TUFF catalog.

The holidays are also upon us, perhaps buy a friend something… your call and no pressure.
