SUNSHINE STATE, U.S.A. — From rock n’ roll to real estate the word extreme in synonymous with Jim Gillette.
Gillette first launched himself into the eyes and ears of music fans while still a teenager and that was a few years before NITRO even hit MTV‘s Headbanger’s Ball with their over-the-top track “Freight Train”.
Gillette was strewn across rock magazines as a 19 year old selling his Metal Power vocal lessons to young Hard Rock hopefuls world-wide, but by the age of 25 the Nebraska born rocker was ready to relinquish his microphone.
By the mid 1990’s Gillette was keen to jump into the real estate market and began flipping houses from Arizona to Texas, but soon the suburbs of Phoenix and Dallas grew stale for the extremist.
In-between buying and selling homes, Gillette spent time training with the Mixed Martial Arts elite which included the Gracie Family along with the who’s-who of combat sports.
That training and Gillette‘s general street-tough DNA landed him on the podium winning several National and World titles in Jiu-jitsu over multiple weight classes.
As the 90’s came to a close Gillette and his family relocated to the Turks and Caicos Islands where he began developing.
Gillette established a construction and real estate development business there and became a significant figure in developing infrastructure, including building the first bridge in the country and creating projects like the North Caicos Yacht Club.
Now, more than 25 years later, the former Nitro singer and part-time MMA fighter has a new project, this time it’s in the Sunshine State and it’s a whopper.
In 2025 Gillette began his latest project CASTLE BAY MANOR, which sits on SAINT GEORGE ISLAND Florida.
CASTLE BAY MANOR is not your average beach front Florida home, but rather just another in a long string of crazy ideas from a bold extremist who pushes boundaries to a point when it seems there is no more boundary to push… then… when everyone else stops, Jim Gillette pushes it a bit further.
With that… we’ll share a snippet of what CASTLE BAY MANOR has been described as from the properties’ social media.
