“As always, I consider Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikki and myself. I also make no bones about loving the BMB and will always have both in my life.”

THE WORLD WIDE WEB — Rock frontman Bret Michaels has broken his silence and addresses what has been an on-going online war over whether Poison should tour or not in 2026.
After what seems like forever, Michaels took to his social media this afternoon and has essentially acknowledged the elephant in the room.
Michaels in-part writes: “To my friend Rikki Rockett – have fun tonight with my good buddy Eddie Trunk and enjoy the Metal Hall of Fame ceremony.”
The Poison frontman also adds: “As always, I consider Poison to be Bobby, C.C., Rikki and myself. I also make no bones about loving the BMB and will always have both in my life.”
“Bottom line – I love music, I love the fans and I’m always forever grateful. Onward & upward and let’s all focus on the positive in 2026, and the potential of a future reunion.” added Michaels.
Of course most know that the internet has been ripe with Poison content over recent weeks and months with the band’s drummer (Rikki Rockett) going on record detailing his disappointment that the band’s frontman wanted a significantly larger share of the profits that what the others would make on the tour.
Metal Sludge covered that story earlier in the week with our article: “CRY TOUGH … Rikki Rockett explains to Page Six that Bret Michaels was looking to earn 6x what the others will make: “It’s like $6 to every one of our dollars. You just can’t work that way.”
According to Rockett, Michaels has seemingly put Poison on hold for what would have been a huge 40th Anniversary tour celebrating the band’s debut record “Look What The Cat Dragged In” (1986/2026).
The rift between Rockett and Michaels has been on-going for years, and while they always seem to get back together and tour, over the years there appears to be a longer gap between Poison runs than there was back in the early 2000’s.
The band last toured with Motley Crue and Def Leppard for The Stadium Tour in 2022, which was originally scheduled for 2000, but the pandemic pushed it back a few years.
Michaels also gave a shout-out on today’s post to Green Day and Bad Bunny congratulating them on their Super Bowl appearance and seemingly implied a “Bucket List NFL dream come true” and added “stay tuned” in parenthesis.
Perhaps, Michaels might be showing up at the annual Super Bowl this February, but we’ll have to wait and see.
In the meantime, it pretty much appears that Poison touring in 2026 is out the window and everyone is going to have to find something else to do, and wait for the big reunion if one happens.
