Barry Brandt of ANGEL is battling Leukemia – GoFundMe for Help!
METAL SLUDGE / October 6th 2026 – Today we are sharing a post sent to us by Danny Stanton of Coallier Entertainment who has helped to orchestrate help for a fellow musician.
Barry Brandt of the 70’s rockers ANGEL is currently battling Leukemia and homelessness as he approaches his 75th birthday.
Metal Sludge is here to spread the word for a fellow musician who could use a little help.
The full message and statement shared on social media reads as follows…
Hi, EVERYONE
PLEASE SHARE THIS.
Daniel Stanton here from Coallier Entertainment. It’s a pleasure to connect with you.
If you haven’t heard, one of our drummers in the rock community, Barry Brandt of ANGEL, is battling cancer and homelessness in his senior years and facing an unimaginable challenge. After being diagnosed with Stage 3B leukemia, the fight against cancer has become even more difficult, as Barry has recently become homeless.
We are currently in the process of raising money to purchase a motor home for Barry. We have a friend who has offered a place for the motor home to be stationed, which will allow us to help oversee his care and assist with getting him to and from his medical appointments.
I’m reaching out to ask if there is any way you could help spread the word throughout the drumming community and help us get the word out about Barry’s situation.
I am also working on creating an additional source of income for Barry by having him sign Drum skins, drumsticks, and photos that we can offer through auctions and direct purchases. The goal is to help create a small but consistent revenue stream for him during this difficult time.
Any help you can provide in spreading the word would mean a great deal to us and, most importantly, to Barry.

If you or anyone you know can help, please give some consideration to the above.
Danny Stanton hit the nail on the head when he reshared but added the following: “Skip One, Give One, Make a difference!
Could you skip just one Starbucks? Maybe one Dunkin’ Donuts? Or even a pack of cigarettes?
Instead, please donate what you would have spent to Barry Brandt of ANGEL. Every little bit helps, and what seems like a small sacrifice to you could make a real difference to someone who needs it.”
Bravo Danny Stanton and all of those who have helped, even if it’s just a little.
