THE MISSING MONACO
L.A. Guns add Johnny Monaco (ex-Enuff Znuff) as second guitarist
Facebook — It’s official, Phil Lewis of L.A. Guns was first to report it – Johnny Monaco is the band’s new guitarist.
Lewis wrote on his official Facebook; “Welcome Johnny Monaco . We’ve been friends for years and now finally in a band together.”
Monaco has spent years in and out of Enuff Z’Nuff as both lead guitarist and lead singer as well.
The multi-instrumentalist and overall super talent has lent his talents to a variety of projects over the years and most recently the 90’s group Tantric.
As of this posting Tracii Guns has also posted a welcome to Monaco on his Instagram writing: “I would personally like to welcome @johnnymonaco to @laguns. He’s a very sophisticated musician, a great friend and I can’t wait to share the stage with him.”
Metal Sludge was tipped off Monaco was the guy on March 17th and we inquired to the Chicago native.
Monaco put on a good game face replying to our direct text message writing: “No one’s called about that. I don’t even have a hat with a Sherriff’s badge on it.”
Monaco will be replacing Michael Grant who was fired from L.A. Guns earlier this month.
According to some research Monaco will be the 48th member to be in L.A. Guns over the band’s long storied 35 year career.
