BLOTZER SPEAKS
Bobby Blotzer wants to end Ratt lawsuits which he calls: “Unbelievably taxing…”
Sleazeroxx — Former Ratt drummer Bobby Blotzer recently co-hosted on a podcast where Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford and Trixter guitarist Steve Brown were interviewed separately. Blotzer was asked what he’s up to musically to which he replied (as transcribed by Sleaze Roxx):
“I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know. My first line of defence before the offence is to, you know, end this unbelievably taxing situation that, you know, Ratt members have been going through. Me and the other guys with these fucking lawsuits and stuff. Thankfully, Warren DeMartini and myself, you know, settled ours, and it was dismissed and it’s gone. WBS is back. WBS Inc. is back intact the way it was. And that’s really all I can say on that. That’s — as far as joining a band, forming a band, that’s not something that I am really thinking about at the moment.I have been doing this so long that you know, I am digging the time off. I am a little bored at times you know but what are you going to do? There’s a time that things end and a time things don’t. And for us at the moment at least, you know, for me, you know, it’s not something that’s driving me onto the phone to, you know, try to reach out and let people know I’m available, or anything like that.
I sit in with a couple of friends’ bands and it feels, it feels always really good. And my old lady really loves to see me play. She was never at any of the Ratt, big Ratt gigs, that sort of thing. For that purpose, I would love to be doing it for her, and for her two kids [ages 7 and 9], and for my friends and fans alike. I still play really well I think when I get up and play with these bands, you know. It feels really good you know but first, we got one more of these lawsuit things that’s coming to an end here very soon and hopefully, it will be resolved like you know the way Warren and I’s thing was put to rest, you know, where everybody can go on with their lives [and] not have to think about this. At least on my end, it tends to haunt me in my sleep. Ratt-mares — wait for the new book. That’s one thing that’s on my plate — a new book. The follow up to ‘Tales of A Ratt.’”The above article courtesy of Sleazeroxx
