“I don’t let people go”
— Paul Markham a former L.A. Guns tour manager and security guard tells Fox 11 News about holding down a burglary suspect for the LAPD
Metal Sludge — Chalk one up for the good guys, as a local citizen stops prowler in his tracks as he runs out of a business he had just burglarized.
Fox 11 News in Los Angeles has run a new story about a late-night break-in at a business in Marina Del Rey, and there is cctv video of the burglary as it happens.
Something else the video shows is the burglar exiting the establishment, only to be met with brute force from a good Samaritan.
That good Samaritan is none other than former L.A. Guns tour manager and security guard Paul Markham.
Markham is seen on the video tackling the suspect, along with another by-stander, and they held the burglar down until the local police arrived.
Markham speaks to the News station, and tells viewers, it was a 20 minute wrestling match holding the guy down as they awaited authorities.
“Please let me go” were the repeated pleas from the burglar, but Markham says “I don’t let people go.”
Let us be the first to tell you, this is not the first time, that Markham has acted as a hero of sorts, and thwarted a crime in progress.
Metal Sludge reported in our article back on October 15th 2011, when some taggers, decided to spray paint graffiti on the L.A. Guns tour trailer, but were caught and confronted by Markham.
Not only have we pulled up the original article, but also the original video on Youtube, all seen below.
Metal Sludge would like to congratulate Paul Markham for his stand-up actions!
Bravo…
