“The real reason he died, is because he was vaccinated. I am sure of it.”
— Johnny B. Frank of Kingdom Come on James Kottak‘s recent death back in January 2024
Metal Sludge — Classic Kingdom Come members appear on a new episode of Artists On Record featuring ADIKA Live with Stefan Adika.
Johnny “JB” Frank (bassist) and Danny Stag (guitars) are the guests on this latest podcast with Adika and it’s a good one.
The pair talk about the band relaunching with their new lineup which includes 3 of the classic members; Frank (bass), Stag (guitars) and Rick Steier (guitars), along with new frontman Ezekial and Matt Muckle (drums).
Frank talks at length while appearing to walk through hallways, blow his nose and pretty much everything you can imagine, but sit still for the camera.
Stag on the other hand, like host Adika, appears to be planted at his desk or a table adding his 2-cents here n’ there.
The interview covers the band’s history, and that includes mentions of their original singer Lenny Wolf and most recent frontman Keith St. John, but much of the talk is about their late drummer James Kottak.
Metal Sludge broke the story back on January 9th 2024, when Kottak had passed away earlier that morning,
Things get a bit heavy around the 10 minute mark, as Frank talks about his very last conversation with Kottak.
As Frank begins to cry, he admits he felt guilt, as he was Kottak‘s sponsor for sobriety.
Metal Sludge has transcribed the following from Frank: “I was a drug counselor for many years, and ahh, you know, ahh, I was James‘ (Kottak) ahh, sponsor, you know, and ahh, so I feel really bad that you know, maybe I was a little bit responsible for his death. But then I found out that the real reason he died, is because he was vaccinated And he was the only one in the band that was.”
Adika chimes in asking: “Are you saying, that the vaccine might have killed James?”
Frank: “I am sure of it. Yeah.”
Frank goes on to say he was applying what they call “tough love” during his final conversation with Kottak and how he then died 10 days later.
Regardless of Kottak‘s well documented on-going (decades long) struggle with sobriety, Frank takes a hard-stance in saying that he believes Kottak died from the Covid vaccine.
Frank gets emotional throughout the interview and even talks about Jani Lane, Axl Rose and some other stars who have faced addiction and challenges in professional and personal life as rock stars.
At some point Frank admits to being a conspiracy theorist since he was a young boy.
