THE WEST COAST, U.S.A. — In the latest series from our friends over at the ‘Get On The Bus’ video podcast and interview show, the team have unearthed a few more killer interviews.
First up is a great interview with Scorpions founder and guitarist Rudolf ‘Rudy’ Schenker.
Schenker, who just turned 77 years old, is full of life, and has more enthusiasm and drive than most men 40 years his junior.
The German native who launched the band in Hanover back in 1965 talks in-depth about the early years, their peak success with “Rock You Like A Hurricane” in the 1980’s, and all things in-between and since.
Get On The Bus writes: “Get On the Bus traveled to Las Vegas for this exclusive interview with Rudolf Schenker – Founder of Scorpions. In this rare, 30-minute deep dive, legendary guitarist and founding member of Scorpions, Rudolf Schenker, opens up like never before. Schenker shares personal stories, creative insights, and reflections on six decades of rock history and by the way, he is simply the coolest guy. The ‘Get On The Bus‘ team also caught up Mickey Dee, who is now seated on the drum throne for those same Scorpions since 2016, but fans know he had a long history with Motörhead and the band’s leader, Lemmy Kilmister.
Dee, 61, and a native of Sweden, has long been at the forefront of drummers in and around the European metal scene for 40 years going back to his days playing with King Diamond.
Get On The Bus writes: “Get ready to dive deep into the mind of one of rock’s most iconic drummers—Mikkey Dee! From his thunderous days with Motörhead to his current reign with Scorpions, Mikkey shares untold stories, career-defining moments, and the raw truth behind his drum set. Get On The Bus traveled to Las Vegas to meet up with the legendary drummer as he was performing with the Scorpions during their residency on the strip. Mikkey has some of the best stories from his days with Lemmy and how he became the drummer for Motörhead. This is a must see interview. Don’t miss it and please hit that like and subscribe button.
