CAR CRASH-A-GO-GO
Drunk Lyft driver plows into crowd standing outside Whisky-A-Go-Go
WEST HOLLYWOOD, California — Tuesday night was not your ordinary night at the Whisky-A-Go-Go in West Hollywood California.
It wasn’t loud guitars or the lead singer from a rock band that had people screaming at the world famous club.
Instead it was a crazy Lyft driver who lost control of his car and drove up onto the sidewalk that caused the screams.
In the process, the driver who was arrested for DUI plowed into a crowd of people.
Tuesday night the venue hosts the popular Ultimate Jam Night.
The weekly event hosts a who’s-who of the rock industry, with themed shows.
Several patrons and musicians were standing outside when the accident happened.
A security camera captured people scattering to avoid the driver who crashed into a pole holding up the club’s awning.
One of those hit was rock guitarist Shane Hunter. (pictured inset right)
Hunter was part of the scene back in the late 80’s and early 90’s.
Three people were taken to area hospitals, including Hunter for a leg injury but he returned to the club after treatment.
For those keeping score at home, Hunter was in Mad Moxie and also played with Joey C. Jones (Sweet Savage) in Pal Joey back in the day.

We hope Shane and everyone involved has a speedy recovery.
