Sludgeaholic of the Month – May 2005, Todd Arnold

SLUDGEAHOLIC OF THE MONTH

TODD ARNOLD!

Our May 2005 Sludgeaholic of the Month gained international attention when he started a petition to meet Motley Crue, and on April 5th his wish came true. Our own bastard boy floyd was adamant about making Todd Arnold our Sludgeaholic because they share an affinity for Amanda Bynes, but we chose Todd because he’s a hardcore metal fan who doesn’t let anyone or anything stop him from reaching his goals. So let’s meet Todd Arnold, our May 2005 Sludgeaholic of the Month! Here he is.

1. Who are you, where are you from, and how old are you?

My name Todd Arnold, I live in Black Creek Wisconsin, which is about 25 miles south of Green Bay, and I turn 32 years young on May 7th.

2. Ambitions:

To meet every Rock Star, WWE Wrestler, Green Bay Packer, and Playboy Playmate that I possibly can before I take my last breath. So how about it Hef… send me a invitation?

3: Turn-ons:

I tend to prefer Brunettes, and a nice rack and caboose always helps. Somebody who is fun and doesn’t take life to seriously and has a big heart. Amanda Peet, Amanda Bynes, and Jennifer Garner could eat crackers in my bed anytime.

4: Turn-offs:

Obnoxious women that can’t control there alcohol, who are stuck up and think their shit doesn’t stink.

5. How long have you been coming to Metal Sludge?

About 4 years, and enjoy every minute of it.

6. Favorite bands:

Motley Crue, Tesla, Aerosmith, Pretty Boy Floyd, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Metallica, Skid Row, Tuff, Cinderella, and VH just to name a few.

7. Least favorite bands:

All boy bands and you know who you are.

Todd and the Crue8. Let?s not beat around the bush. You suffer from a very unfortunate affliction called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. For those who don?t know any better, exactly what is SMA, and where can people go to find out more about SMA ? and perhaps even contribute towards research for finding a cure?

Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) is a motor neuron disease. The motor neurons affect the voluntary muscles that are used for activities such as crawling, walking, head and neck control, and swallowing. It is a relatively common “rare disorder”: approximately 1 in 6000 babies born are affected, and about 1 in 40 people are genetic carriers.

Check out www.fsma.org, www.mdausa.org, and www.smafund.org for more information and how you can help fight this dreadful disease.

9. We heard that you?re able to type, compose e-mails, and surf the Web using voice recognition software. How does something like that work, and how much does a gadget like that cost? Have you ever tried imitating Ozzy Osbourne or Steven Adler or someone who talks all fucked up like that, you know? just to see how it would work?

I use the voice recognition software called Dragon Dictate Classic Edition 3.0 which is actually a dinosaur compared to some of the new software available, but I like it and it works for me, and I can type, move the cursor and just about anything a person with two hands can do all with my voice. Good voice recognition software can usually set you back anywhere from $150 to $300, and the only person I imitate is my hero Ozzy Stillbourne.

10. Sometimes people who suffer from a physical handicap naturally make up for it by having one or more other enhanced senses (e.g. a blind person who has an acute sense of hearing, a deaf person who has extra-sharp vision, etc.). Are you able to bend spoons with your mind or move objects around the room without touching them or anything like that? We were just wondering.

Hmm, I don’t have any enhanced senses, but I have always been lucky. I have been told by many that I was born with a horse shoe up my ass, does that count?

11. Of the following, which do you prefer and why:

Green Bay or Milwaukee = Lambeau Field and The Resch Center, need I say more?
Star Wars or Hitchhiker?s Guide to the Galaxy = Star Wars…May The Force Be With You
Hospital beds or wheelchair cots = Wheelchair Cots because its my Limo to the concerts
Motley Crue ?94 or Generation Swine = Swine, because its not Motley without Vince, Tommy, Nikki, and Mick
Samantha Maloney or Randy Castillo = Sam is better looking, but Randy is a master
Pet Rocks or Chia Pets = Cha Cha Chia!!!
Alice Cooper or Paul Stanley = I like them both Alice is into classic cars, and the Star Child rules
M&Ms or Skittles = M&M’s, they melt in your mouth and not in your hand, it?s magic
Cowboys or Indians = Indians, because I’m a Packers fan and we hate Cowboys
Bedpans or catheters = Catheters, its the most action I’ll ever see

12. Name 3 things about yourself that people might be surprised to know:

1. I once was a Michael Jackson fan… God what was I thinking
2. I watch American Idol
3. My friends and I were arrested for shoplifting when I was 13

13. If you could hang out for a day with any rock star or celebrity whom you have not yet met, who would it be and why?

Brett Favre because he is my hero
