SUMMER TOUR RUMOR?
Quiet Riot, Jack Russell’s Great White, L.A. Guns’ Tracii Guns and Enuff Z’Nuff

Facebook — Word on the street according to music journalist Mitch Lafon is that there is a summer 80’s tour package happening. Lafon went as far as naming the alleged line-up as Quiet Riot, Enuff Z’Nuff, Lizzy Borden and Tracii Guns’ L.A. Guns.

Upon further digging, Metal Sludge has reached out to an insider close to these camps and have confirmed, there is a package in the works.

The inside source states a Quiet Riot Bang Your Head type tour could happen but wouldn’t elaborate on the bands. Last year Quiet Riot did a similar run with Faster Pussycat, BulletBoys and former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.

Tracii Guns seems to have confirmed this (rumor) when he replied to Lafon’s post earlier today.

Guns also corrected Lafon stating: “Just so you got it straight Mitch, (it’s) LA Guns’ Tracii Guns w Rudy Sarzo Keith St John not to be confused with Tracii Guns’ LA Guns.”

So, looks like it’s a go.

Guns also seems to note that Jack Russell (Jack Russell’s Great White) will be on the bill and not Lizzy Borden. Guns goes on to list what his band will be playing as well, including songs by Ozzy, Whitesnake, Montrose, Dio, and of course L.A. Guns.

Metal Sludge reported last month that Tracii Guns was re-launching his version of L.A. Guns. This was coupled with a rumor that Guns was in fact leaving the Devil City Angels project. Guns himself denies that is the case. However it seems legitimate that he has in fact resurrected the L.A. Guns brand he started roughly 3 decades earlier.

The more prominent version of L.A. Guns featuring classic members Phil Lewis on vocals and Steve Riley on drums have remained true to the bands classic roots, sound, image and style. Guns on the other hand has started and stopped his version over the years to join other projects (Brides of Destruction) only to come back full circle. More recently Guns did a similar stint touring as League of Gentleman after his L.A. Guns line up went through multiple singers including Dilana Robichaux for a brief stint in 2011.

In 2014 Guns joined forces with Rikki Rockett (Poison) and Eric Brittingham (Cinderella) to form Devil City Angels. DCA has been working on their debut record which the band states will be out this spring. One can only wonder if they will tour to support it, as Guns appears he’ll be on the road with his version of L.A. Guns.
