Jake E Lee taps singer Michael Thomas Beck to front RED DRAGON CARTEL
Twitter — RED DRAGON CARTEL acts swiftly and replaces departed vocalist Darren James Smith. The new frontman is Michael Thomas Beck from the band SCARY HAIRY.
Late night tweets from RED DRAGON CARTEL confirmed the split and immediately named Beck their new singer just minutes after Smith announced his departure.
One would be led to believe there might have been some drama that caused the split especially when Smith posted a message saying: “It is true I left RDC. Kinda complicated but I think it was the right thing to do. One day I’ll comment more, for now That’s All Folks!!!”
Smith 49, a Canadian resident is also a member of the band HAREM SCAREM who just announced a show for April 2nd.
Smith tells Metal Sludge, “I resigned, Jake accepted.”
Beck has some previous work on record including his band SCARY HAIRY and their release “Intent To Deliver”.

The SCARY HAIRY sound, “American melodic hard rock. A mix between early Whitesnake, Ozzy, Tyketto, Bangalore Choir and Leatherwolf” this according to the band’s CD Baby posting.
