Former Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora allegedly threatened to kill his longtime lover and former business partner a day after her clothing line was unveiled.

Cops in Los Angeles want to talk to the aging axeman over claims he threatened to kill fashion designer Nikki Lund, police told the Daily News on Thursday.

The 55-year-old rocker allegedly threatened to “dig a hole in the desert and bury,” Lund during a heated phone exchange last month.

“I am confirming we are investigating such an incident,” Sgt. Tui Wright of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office told the Daily News.

RS_Apr_2015_1Wright confirmed that a 33-year-old woman filed a report April 1.

“She stated that Mr. Sambora made some threats against her,” Wright said. “Deputies tried to contact Mr. Sambora, but he was not at his residence. A report was taken, and now Malibu Lost Hills detectives are investigating.”

Lund, 33, a close childhood friend of Kim Kardashian’s, declined to comment on the allegations.

The on-again off-again pair had carried on a personal relationship for nearly a decade after Sambora split with wife Heather Locklear. The two became business partners in the Nikki Rich clothing line last year.

Sambora and Lund appeared on billboards around L.A. leading up to the planned opening of a brick-and-mortar-store on ritzy Robertson Blvd. — steps from the Kardashians’ Dash boutique.

Lund and Sambora (seen with composer Michael Bearden, r.) were in a a relationship for nearly a decade and became business partners in 2014. The guitarist left the company in February.
Sambora pulled out of the company last month and the boutique never came to be.

“Today it’s not over, we’re friends and we have a business we both love,” Lund told The News last month when asked about Sambora. “Richie and I are having our differences and we are not warring with each other.”

But life certainly was no bed of roses for the duo.

Sambora, who was rumored to have been booted from Bon Jovi’s touring band in 2013 due to substance abuse, started dating Australian guitar player Orianthi last year.

It was further rumored that Orianthi wasn’t pleased with the idea of Sambora palling around with his ex-flame for the sake of the business.

Lund showed off the line’s latest looks at L.A. Fashion Week on March 18 and things got dicey the next day when Sambora allegedly made his threatening call.

Sambora could not be reached by The News for comment.
Updated:  The Daily Mail reported that a rep for Sambora denied Lund’s allegation.
