Metal Sludge — In a brand new Facebook post, former Stryper bassist Timothy Gaines has blasted his readers and followers with a message pushing his faith and beliefs.

Within hours of the recent sad news of the passing of guitar legend Jeff Beck, Gaines took to social media and seems to be blasting those who have added “RIP” to their various posts about Beck.

Gaines writes: “Sorry to be so blunt but RIP? Sentimental hogwash. Got news for ya folks. NO-ONE who dies without Jesus as their Savior is resting in peace. There are no second chances. There is no purgatory. Just eternity in flames separated from God. I am sure every person, famous or not, who has passed into eternity without Christ wishes he or she could return to warn us about the consequences. No man is promised tomorrow. We ALL have an expiration date. When is yours? Give your life to Christ today. ~ TG”

The post has nearly 500 comments, and the replies vary from support to many questioning why the former Stryper bassist feels the need to attack those who are remembering Jeff Beck.

Gaines is self-proclaimed and his Facebook intro notes the following: “Jesus Disciple, Husband, Assistant Pastor @TheFlock, Founder @Grace50Ministry, Student of Eschatology.”

Gaines has posted questionable rants in the past, that are the type of water-cooler subjects that get people talking and it’s a safe bet he’s not backing down to anyone, other than Jesus Christ himself.
