Fire destroys Bret Michaels childhood home in Pennsylvania
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. – A late afternoon fire has destroyed the boyhood home of rock star Bret Michaels.
The fire broke out at about 4 pm at the home in the first block of Hemlock Drive near Mechanicsburg.
A family of seven inside the house made it out safely.
Chief Salter also said the effort to battle the blaze was hampered because nearby fire hydran
ts were buried in deep snow.
Damage to the home and contents is estimated at $250,000. The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the family.
A friend of the family has said that Toshia Rowland and Dan Krout have five children, girls ages 8, 5, 3 and boys ages 2, and 3 months.
