SOCIAL MEDIA — Michael Sweet has commented on social media and once again his output is goofy to say the least.

The Stryper frontman, main song-writer and chief cry-baby has come out with an opinion about his brother Robert Sweet‘s drumming ability, comparing his sibling to that of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee.

In short, Sweet says: “Robert would play circles around him.”

A Facebook group called Hair Metal Music has regular posts comparing musicians, and one of their recent blogs is asking fans to vote in their ‘Best Hair Metal Drummer‘ championship.

The battle is, Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe, versus Robert Sweet of Stryper.

This is all in fun, much-like going back to the days of Hit Parader magazine’s annual yearly polls where fans were encouraged to vote for their favorite musicians in their respective categories.

Some of these Hair Metal Music polls are a bit silly to be honest, as they line up random singers, guitarists, drummers and bands in general in a head-to-head match, and ask the fans to vote.

One recent poll pitted Janet Gardner of Vixen against Blackie Lawless of W.A.S.P. for their ‘Top Hair Metal Frontman of All Time‘, but again it’s a fan thing and the fans seem to enjoy it.

The Lee Vs: Sweet poll has upwards of 700 votes/comments and there are plenty of opinions.

So far so good, right… and it’s a safe bet that we won’t see any real rock stars jumping in and commenting about why they are better than the next guy… can you imagine?

Well… unless you are Michael Sweet of Stryper.

Sweet often can’t hold back opting to jump in and argue with online posters about anything and everything, and with this poll nothing changes.

The only other goof who we’ve seen get into these debates regularly, is what’s his face the former Skid Row screamer… Sweet just like Bach, doesn’t know when to stay in his lane and makes himself an easy target.

Come to think of it, who could forget Bach‘s famous outburst about Stryper stating; “I think Stryper sucks. Their songs suck… I think their clothes fu??ing suck.”

Which was followed by some back and forth, until they ended up kissing and making up years later.

Okay, so anyway back to the recent ‘Best Hair Metal Drummer‘ competition, and let us not forget to mentioned the 1 comment that stands out above the others… and that is the comment from Michael Sweet.

One would think, that a 62 year old man would be hesitant to say such a ridiculous thing on social media, as it amounts to a school-yard kid telling another; “My brother can beat your brother up.”

But, this is Stryper… and while it may not be fair to lump the entire band here, Stryper is Michael‘s band more than the others all day, every day.

So, if Michael Sweet says it, we might as well say Stryper said it.
