Rikki Rockett of Poison to Troy Patrick Farrell

LOS ANGELES, California — What does the drummer from Poison, the youngest member of The Brady Bunch and Chicago’s very own Troy Patrick Farrell have in common?

If you read the rest of this nonsense, you will soon find out!

The world is watching as the city of Los Angeles is currently battling unrest related to the latest ICE RAIDS, illegal immigrants and immigration in general.

There are multiple sides to this on-going ugliness and it’s hitting closer to home than most would like to admit.

The nation’s second most populated city is in the middle of an uprising from different groups, who are taking sides about what is right and what is wrong, with the countries current immigration situation.

In the end, it’s causing distress within homes, businesses and amongst friends as well.

Enter 2 notable name rock n’ roll drummers, Rikki Rockett of Poison, and Troy Patrick Farrell, oh, and lest us not forget… Cindy Brady!

Huh?

Ironically, these 2 rock Gods were friends, and Rockett even endorsed Farrell with Rockett Drums in the past.

But now… it appears Farrell‘s opinion on social media, has caused Rockett to lash out at the fellow drummer.

This is why I won’t do your podcast. Please, don’t ever ask me.” was Rockett‘s response to Farrell‘s post which we have shared below.

Troy Patrick Farrell shares an opinion on Facebook

Susan Olsen pka Cindy Brady of The Brady Bunch posts about ICE RAIDS on Facebook

The pair are essentially arguing on Susan Olsen‘s post, pka, Cindy Brady from The Brady Bunch fame.

Olsen‘s post has brought out all kinds of reactions, and sadly these once 2 drum buddies / friends, Rockett and Farrell now appear to be at odds over a difference of opinion here.

Who could have imagined back 45 years ago while watching The Brady Bunch, that Cindy would be caught between a couple of hair farming 80’s rock n’ roll drummers on social media… which didn’t even exist until most of us were well into our adult years.

Is this even real?

W in T actual F is going on in 2025?

Yes, it’s all real… and ridiculous also comes to mind.

Anyway…

Troy Patrick Farrell who has played drums with a laundry list of acts including; Mike Tramp (White Lion), Gilby Clarke (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Tantric and The Raskins to name a few, has also worked as an Industry Agent and Tour Manager with bands like Dokken and Ratt.

Farrell also hosts a weekly show on Dirty Radio called “This That & The Other” which has interviewed and featured the who’s who of rock n’ roll and entertainment… but it’s safe to say, that Rockett won’t be a guest anytime soon.

Troy Patrick Farrell and Rikki Rockett appear to have a difference of opinion here on Facebook.

Farrell was replying to Olsen‘s Facebook post which reads as follows: “Every Californian knows that immigrants gather at Home Depot’s and other home improvement stores seeking day labor. Most are Latino and very (very!) hard working people. This is NOT who ICE is targeting. There was no raid at a Home Depot! This is a fabrication! Ice is not indiscriminately “kidnapping” innocent people who are contributing to society but undocumented. Anybody that tells you that is lying especially if the person is on your television set and part of the mainstream media. ICE is targeting those eno alteady havr deportation orders and or have comitted serious crimes.

“We elected Donald Trump to close our borders and stop the invasion that the previous administration orchestrated – and they didn’t do it because they cared about migrants! They did it to destroy YOUR life! Trump is trying to save America from this. You may hate him but it’s still the fact that he loves this country and its law abiding citizens. He’s trying to save California but we know that Gavin Newsome and Karen Bass would prefer to see the state burn to the ground.”

Rockett replied to Farrell, and at the time of this posting, there are more than 100 comments and replies, with both sides weighing in… some acting fair, some voicing their view, while others are attacking and using ugly language.

Farrell replied to Rockett with a response of his own, which reads as follows: “While my show isn’t political, I, like you, and many others have thoughts on things that I try to use facts to form or back up.

“You and I are at times more on the same side about stuff than not but all good man. No need to be a guest on my Radio Show (I broadcast live) This That & The Other Radio Show w- TPF. Anyway, still love you and support your music.

“I don’t understand why we’d want criminals (illegal or otherwise) walking our streets but if I’m missing something, let’s talk about it, not take the ball and bat and go home. You’re typically more rational.

Farrell edited, and added a secondary to his original post adding: “*Rereading what I wrote above, what did I say that was out of line? I don’t think criminals’ w/ felony allegations should be walking amongst the rest of us. If I’m a bad person for that, then so be it. Living in Bizarro world I guess.”

Troy Patrick Farrell’s reply to Rikki Rockett

As of this posting, it appears Rockett has not replied to Farrell‘s latest comment.

Metal Sludge would like to wish every person regardless of their race, or political stance a healthy and prosperous day… we’re also hoping that everyone can get past the drama and live happily every after… like The Brady Bunch did.
