IMPLODING!
Bobby Blotzer admits ‘I’m flustered’, sources claim several members on their way out
Rumorville — Multiple sources close to Bobby Blotzer’s ‘Ratt’ camp are alleging that every member but the singer are set to jump ship. Including some crew members as well.
A source close to the members themselves is claiming that all but Josh Alan have already given notice that they will leave Blotzer’s version of Ratt in September.
The source also notes that current tour manager (Craig Bradford) has also given a similar notice.
Metal Sludge reached out to Bradford directly but he has yet to reply.
We also reached out to fill-in bassist Robbie Crane and his exact reply was “No Habla ingles…”
Crane is a member of Black Star Riders and agreed to play select tour dates this summer while his band was in-between recordings after Scotty Griffin (Ex-L.A. Guns) parted ways with the current lineup.
A secondary source who requests that he not be named, echoed similar details that things are not well on the inside and that multiple components are likely to change in the near future.
Even Bobby Blotzer himself expressed some concern with his band in a brand new audio interview.
Blotzer talked to ClassX Radio on August 1st 2016.
The drummer didn’t hold back on his feelings about the current state of his Bobby Blotzer’s Ratt Experience, which he morphed into his own official version of Ratt last fall.
Early on in the interview Blotzer admits; “I’m dealing with a couple things that are becoming headaches. And ah, I’m not, you know, I’m not my normal optimistic self but I never lie.”
Blotzer goes on and opens up about his band saying; “I’m seeing that ah, (pause) some of my guys just you know, they’re, they’re not use to, the pirate ship yet. And um, (pause) I’m a little, I’m a little taken back, that I have to, help them along to this degree.”
Blotzer continues; “Today has been a mop up day from the weekend. It was a very hard weekend.”
The lone original member in his version of Ratt goes on and admits he’s a bit ‘flustered’.
The multi-platinum drummer’s voice at times sounds to be slurring in the post weekend interview. But even after a rough run of shows Blotzer tells it straight forward stating that it was ‘hard to cope with’.
“It was the first time we’ve had to deal with anything like that out there. And, you know, it separates the men from the boys, you know. And I’m watching the boys, who need to become men. And they better become men real quick.” added Blotzer
“Well you know what? They better grow up real quick here, because there are a lot of sailors out there, that would give their leg to go out on this ship.” says Blotzer talking about his current band members.
In closing Blotzer says; “Onward ho, we’re booked through December 30th at this point and they’re already booking next year. So, Ratt is gonna be out there man you know. And the cast could change, it could stay the same, I don’t know you know what I mean.”
