Metal Sludge — Jack Russell’s Great White have been forced to cancel yet another show, and this time the singer’s appearance was slated for Friday July 12th 2024 at “Four Winds Casino” in New Buffalo Michigan.
Russell and his brand, known as Jack Russell’s Great White have battled for months as the singer continues to face on-going health problems.
The band have been forced to pull out of multiple shows in recent months, and have substituted their frontman with Andrew Freeman.
For these recent shows, where the band were forced to make the change, when appearing without Russell, they have coined themselves ‘Friends Of Jack‘, and the lineup is all of Jack Russell’s Great White, sans Russell.
Back on June 6th Metal Sludge shared our article, ‘HUH? … Jack Russell’s Great White will play this weekend at ‘Feather Falls Casino’ but Jack Russell will not sing due to health reasons, Andrew Freeman will fill the singer role’ which included a message from Feather Falls Casino informing guests of the change.
Feather Falls Casino wrote; “Regrettably, we need to inform the fans of Jack Russell’s Great White that Jack will not be performing this weekend at Feather Falls Casino due to an ongoing health issue.”
Now roughly 1 month later the band were scheduled to support Dokken on July 12th in Michigan, and oddly an almost identical message has been posted by The Four Winds Casino.
The Four Winds Casino shared the following message on Monday July 1st 2024 on their official Facebook page: “Regrettably we need to inform the fans of Jack Russell’s Great White that Jack will not be performing next weekend at Four Winds Casino due to an ongoing health issue. Performing in his place will be “The Friends of Jack Band” featuring his band members Robby Lochner (guitar), Dan McNay (bass), Ken Mary (drums) and Tony Montana (axe/keys). Stepping up to take on vocal duties is former Great White vocalist Andrew Freeman! Andrew is the A-list vocalist of Last In Line and also former member of Lynch Mob and The Offspring. The Friends of Jack band will be performing all the hits like Once Bitten Twice Shy, Rock Me, Save Your Love, Mista Bone, among others. We appreciate your continued support as Jack works on getting his health in order!”
Another recent Jack Russell’s Great White show was postponed on June 1st 2024 when the band was to appear at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles Illinois.

As most readers know Russell has been battling health problems for upwards of 20 years, but in recent months the singer’s condition has deteriorated greatly says sources close to the band.
Back in early April the Russell and his band appeared at the Lava Cantina near Dallas Texas and after the show there were deep rooted concerns from both industry insiders and fans alike, that the singer was in no condition to be on stage.

With this most recent development, this will be the 3rd time in as many months, that Jack Russell’s Great White have been forced to pull out of, cancel or postpone an appearance.
