Jani Lane remembered at Revolver’s Golden Gods Awards but sadly with a ridiculous typo blunder claiming he was from the band Motorhead!
Los Angeles — At last night’s Revolver Golden God’s Awards at the Club Nokia live in Los Angeles there was a special segment where they remembered fallen rock stars with a performance by Zakk Wylde. Jani Lane of Warrant was mentioned and it was great to see a hairband king like Jani Lane get his due. Sadly the folks from the event made a critical error and noted Jani Lane as being from the band Motorhead and not Warrant.
How could an entire organization of people allow such an amazing blunder to happen? More proof that the 80s and hairbands in general get no respect.
RIP Jani Lane.
Many other rock greats got mentioned as well including Kevin DuBrow (Quiet Riot), Clive Burr (Iron Maiden), Ronnie James Dio to name a few. Watch the actual video of the performance and tribute below.
