Metal Sludge — After a week of news and rumors about a new Van Halen tour and lineup, the silence has officially been broken from the Wolfgang camp.
As most know, Jason Newsted shocked the music world back on April 13th when he told a Florida area news-outlet that he had been in talks to play bass in a new Van Halen lineup.
Newsted stated the band was to feature Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth and guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani.
A few days later Satriani himself acknowledged this, and stated there were talks involving Roth, Alex and Newsted.
Satriani also stated they were all sworn to secrecy about the project and that he was shocked Newsted leaked it.
David Lee Roth also reacted in a way that only Dave can.
Roth then shared some words which included him mentioning Pink as the only other person who could do his job.
The band’s classic voice also noted that Tommy Lee could do Alex’s job if needed, Newsted could do Michael Anthony’s and Steve Lukather could play guitar as well.
Well, now that the cat is out of the bag and the industry is ripe with Van Halen news, updates, questions and much more.
With that, the world has been patiently awaiting input or a comment from Wolfgang Van Halen, and he’s finally addressed the rumor.
He also doesn’t appear to be too happy.
The only son of the late Eddie Van Halen took to social media and wrote: “Well when the world is breaking down my door for a week talking about some dumbass reunion that isn’t happening and insulting me in the process I felt the need to clear things up. Just let me suck with my own band and fuck off.”
A little while, the youngest Van Halen wrote: “Deleted it. More than it’s worth. The childish arguments will continue with or without my input, I truly don’t care. Just leave me the fuck out of it. I’ll always do right by Pop and that’s all that matters.”

Deleted it. More trouble than it’s worth. The childish arguments will continue with or without my input. I truly don’t care. Just leave me the fuck out of it. I’ll always do right by Pop and that’s all that matters.
