Metal Sludge — L.A. Guns recently started a new tour run in Florida as support to KK’s Priest.
The pair are doing a string of dates and while the tour kicked off in Florida, it seems that is not the only thing that got kicked off.
According to a source close to the situation, 1 fan who attended has alleged that there was some actual kicking going on from the stage.
On the very first nite of the tour, the bands performed at “The Culture Room” in Ft. Lauderdale on Thursday March 7th 2024.
During the song “Never Enough” by L.A. Guns it is alleged from a fan, that they were holding their cell-phone when lead singer Phil Lewis grabbed their phone, and then kicked their hand and phone.
While this video appears to be vague and hard to see all of the details, the fan apparently was not pleased with what took place.
So much so, the following day, the fan actually went to the local Police and filed a report.
The video below shows that around the 3:30 mark, you can see Lewis lean down and there is some back n’ forth going on for a few seconds, then the singer’s leg extends towards the crowd.
According to the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department, and Incident Report (#342403042324-1) was taken by Primary Officer Cristina Beltrani (1847) about an incident that was dated March 7th 2024 at 22:00 (10:00pm).
The report notes the Victim with the last name Gomez, and the Offender as Phil Lewis, which also includes the singer’s age at 67 and the DOB on record is January 9th 1957.
The report states, that Gomez says Lewis had grabbed his phone, and would not let go, then followed that up with kicking his hand and phone.
The offense alleged in the official report is detailed as 13B – Simple Battery or Simple Assault.
It is noted as a Committed offense, not an Attempted offense according to the report, as there are multiple options for this charge.
Gomez filed the report the day after the show and in the report states he was at the L.A. Guns show in the front row taking both photos and videos of the band during their performance when the incident allegedly occurred.
