“Phil (Lewis) is fine and does not conduct business and never has conducted any business with members of the (L.A. Guns) band. So that’s a big bologna sandwich about he and Riley being Cheap.”

LOS ANGELES, California — After a recent Brent Muscat interview hit the wire, the heads were turning for sure as the former Faster Pussycat guitarist did some unloading.
Muscat spoke at length with Metal-Rules and the 2-part interview covered a bunch of stuff, but the part that really stood out was the content about L.A. Guns frontman Phil Lewis.
Metal Sludge covered that interview with our article: “L.A. DIRT … Brent Muscat unloads on L.A. Guns frontman: “Phil Lewis would do Anything for 50 Bucks. Phil Lewis would Stab his Own Mother in the Back, that’s just how he is.”
Now, Tracii Guns has come out to defend his lead singer and has a few stones of his own to throw.
Guns took to social media and says the following: “Just a couple of things if I may. Phil is fine and does not conduct business and never has conducted any business with members of the band. So that’s a big bologna sandwich about he and Riley being Cheap. Riley on the other hand we know how that turned out.”
As most readers know, there was a huge falling out between Guns and his former drummer, the late Steve Riley… which along the way produced as many or more headlines on rock websites as any band from the era.
Guns continued and focused on Muscat stating: “When Brent was in L.A. Guns with me I had never met a person before that waits for everyone to finish their meals at Denny’s and then eat their leftovers, not pay for food and not leave a tip. I have no reason to make something up like that.”
According to a quick Wikipedia search it notes that Muscat did a few short stints in L.A. Guns in 2000, and again from 2002-2003.
In closing Guns adds: “It’s interesting to me how certain type project their poor personality traits on others they feel are above them. Wait, not interesting. I meant I’m laughing in your bitch face.”
