Metal Sludge — In a newly released audio interview, ex-Steel Panther bassist Lexxi Foxx says he is “stepping away from music for now” after becoming a Father and moving to Chicago.
Foxx, real name Travis Haley spoke to Border City Rock Talk about recent developments in his world, which includes welcoming a baby girl into his life and a change of scenery for his new family.
Haley soon after his July 2021 split with Steel Panther joined forces with ‘Diggity’ Dave Aragon and Hollywood Gods N’ Monsters.
Aragon is best known for his stint on MTV‘s Pimp My Ride and being part of the Hollywood local scene back in the day fronting bands like Silence, Shake The Faith and No. 9.
In the interview heard below Haley says: “For a while, doing so many interviews with Steel Panther, it got to be so much and so exhausting, which is another reason that, I just needed to step away. And I think jumping into something too soon, as much as I love these guys, and the guys in the band (Hollywood Gods N’ Monsters), it was a bit too much for me.”
Haley also talks about his past struggles with mental illness and addictions, which he says: “It’s not fun.”
Hollywood Gods N’ Monsters says they will continue to do music, with Aragon adding: “We know he is part of our family, we know he is in this band and when Travis is ready to come back, we will be waiting. It’s that simple.”
