LOVE AIN’T ENOUGH
Southgang singer Jesse Harte ‘Butch Walker give me a call…the fans want it’
Facebook — Who remembers Southgang? Of course you do.
The band’s voice Jesse Harte has taken to his official Facebook to post a message to his old bandmate Butch Walker earlier tonight and wrote; “Butch Walker give me a call” adding “The friends and fans want it. Let’s do it. One song.”
In the recent year or two several hairbands from the hey-day have miraculously reappeared after being away for a while.
Heaven’s Edge, Babylon A.D. and Britny Fox come to mind.
Southgang was active between 1988-1993 and released 2 discs on Virgin Records.
Upon the ‘gang dissolving the members of the band sans Harte went onto form Floyd’s Funk Revival which eventually morphed into Marvelous 3.
Walker on guitar also graduated to the group’s vocalist, bassist Jayce Fincher and drummer Mitch McLee had some success with M3. The band issued 3 discs between 1997-2001, as well as scoring a minor hit with “Freak of the week”.
Harte formed Bloody Red Hearts who released an E.P. in 2012.
Walker as most know is an industry stud who’s name has been attached to many of the biggest pop stars over the last decade plus. Walker has produced, co-wrote and/or performed with everyone from Taylor Swift to Pink, Daryl Hall, Weezer, Avril Lavigne and Fall Out Boy.
