We got 4 cities in 4 nights. It’s not for the f#@king p#ssies out there, I’ll tell ya that. Ask anybody who ever tried to f#@king replace me.”
Sebastian Bach

Metal Sludge — Just when we all thought Sebastian Bach was going to play nice in trying to make his reunion dream with Skid Row come true, the motor mouth frontman has stuck his foot in his mouth once again.

Or maybe, he’s stuck both feet in his mouth?

Bach is on tour in support of his brand new release “Child Within The Man” (Reigning Phoenix Music) and has a full slate of tour dates on the books taking him into the summer.

Meanwhile Skid Row are currently plugging in for a few (4) shows with Lzzy Hale (Halestorm) on vocals since the unexpected recent departure of Erik Grönwall.

As readers recall, Grönwall put in his notice and left Skid Row back in late March and has made it known that he was stepping away from the band to concentrate on his health.

Grönwall has battled Leukemia since the spring of 2021, and while he has bounced back from his procedures (Chemotherapy) he has noted that his immune system is not like a normal person’s.

The weakened immune system leaves the Swedish singer susceptible to getting sick very easily and he’s had a few serious health battles in the recent years, which caused Skid Row to postpone or cancel select shows.

Bach once again has been very vocal in recent months about his former band and has continued to publicly ask the band to reunite with him.

Now just a few days into his new tour, Bach took to the stage in New York on Thursday May 16th 2024, and had some choice words that probably won’t be helpful in his bid to rejoin his former band.

A few songs into the set Bach tells the crowd; “We got 4 cities in 4 nights. It’s not for the f#@king p#ssies out there, I’ll tell ya that. Ask anybody who ever tried to f#@king replace me.”

Bach continues: “You know it’s so funny what I read online, ‘Skid Row are on their 4th singer’.. they’re on their f#@king 9th singer, and I can name every one of them. It’s like, google that sh!t. It’s not number 4, Lizy Hale is number 9.”

Bach then has a short exchange with someone in the crowd saying; “We’re not at that place tonight, sorry. They don’t like me over there, so that’s over.”

Back in March when it was first announced that Hale would front the band for their up coming shows, Bach stopped following Hale on social media and then talked about it publicly in an interview with SCREAMER magazine.

Bach tells SCREAMER (As transcribed by Metal Sludge); “Maybe after 9 replacements of me, maybe I don’t want to read about number 10. Maybe it bugs me. Does anybody think about that?”

“How about me giving the best years of my life, to make the brand name Skid Row and then 10 people act like it’s theirs. But it’s not. So, maybe I don’t want to read about it. Everybody have fun with the best years of my life, but I’m still making rock n’ roll that can stand up to the best music I’ve ever made. So, that’s what I am concentrating on” added Bach.

Bach made the remarks at the ‘Patchogue Theater’ in Long Island New York during Thursday night’s gig. (The rant starts around the 45 minute mark, watch and listen below)

Metal Sludge did a quick dive and it appears Lzzy Hale is in truth, the 5th singer since Bach was excused in 1996.

According to a Skid Row Wikipedia search it shows the following vocalists appeared in the band.

Matt Fallon (1986-1987)
Sebastian Bach (1987-1996)
Johnny Solinger (1999-2015) Died 2021
Tony Harnell (April-December 2015)
ZP Theart (2016-2022)
Erik Gronwall (2022-2024)
*Lizzy Hale (2024)

We’ve also given Hale an asterisk in the listing as she’s not officially joining the band, at least not that we know of… and from what has been said, she is simply subbing for these 4 shows for the group as she’s got her own band Halestorm.

Other bands have had notable subs in recent times as well, including Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys) who has subbed for John Bush in Armored Saint twice, and McMaster also filled-in for Accept when vocalist Mark Tornillo was sidelined with a virus.

With that in mind, the band in reality have had 4 singers since Bach was fired in 1996, not 9.

If Bach is counting singers that came after him, Hale would be #5 according to the list.

We also decided to list the musicians who have played or performed with Bach since he’s went solo.

According to Bach‘s official Wikipedia, it appears that there have been 13 different guitarists, 7 bass players and 6 drummers since 1997.
