Metal Sludge has been contacted by Poison’s management and they have forwarded us an exclusive statement from Devil City Angels members Rikki Rockett and Brandon Gibbs.
Statement from Eric Sherman, co-manager of Poison, on behalf of Rikki Rockett and Brandon Gibbs of Devil City Angels.
“Regarding the new band Angel City Devils, we wish they would have chosen a different name that won’t confuse fans. Despite the odd choice for a name, Rikki and Brandon wish them the best. Rikki also looks forward to seeing everyone on the Stadium Tour this summer with Motley Crue, Def Leppard and Poison.”

Metal Sludge — We’re currently waiting for a tour from Roses N’ Guns or Halen Van to be announced… but as of press time there is no word.
However, there is a new show announced for Angel City Devils, who are appearing at “Vamp’d” in Las Vegas on Saturday May 7th 2022.
What is that you’re asking, is Rikki Rockett and Tracii Guns going to be there?
No, they’re not.
We didn’t say, Devil City Angels, we said Angel City Devils.
They are 2 different bands.
For those who don’t remember, Devil City Angels was the super-group formed by Rockett (Poison), Guns (L.A. Guns) along with bassist Eric Brittingham (Cinderella), who would later be replaced by Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot).
The group was rounded out by singer Brandon Gibbs (The Special Guests).
DCA played a few shows, released some music, but it seemed that the super-group wasn’t that super of a draw.
So, over a period of time, between all the guys doing different things, the Devil City Angels kind of … well, disappeared.
Now it seems, that Angel City Devils is about to make their debut performance, and this too – is a super-group of sorts.
The band features: Keith St. John (Burning Rain), Rick Steier (Kingdom Come), Sean McNabb (Name any band) and Blas Elias (Slaughter).
Their flyer notes the bands these guys have previously played with, and it’s a laundry list for sure, we lost count at a dozen, but we’re sure there are some others not listed.
It also appears that Devil City Angels have taken notice, and already jumped into the Facebook post by St. John sharing the Angel City Devils promo.
The official Facebook account from DCA writes: “Clear example of confusion in the market place.”
And DCA singer Brandon Gibbs adds: “I would agree” with a sad emoji face.
Oh well, if you want to go see these Angels and Devils guys, we’re sure it will be a good time.
While we’re keeping score, make sure to not confuse these guys with the 80’s Sunset Strip band Rock City Angels, the Baltimore based Charm City Devils or the other Sin City super-group Angels In Vein.
Also, since this gig is in Vegas, you might even run into Sebastian Bach, Jason Green, Troy Patrick Farrell, Eddie Trunk, Johnny Monaco or one of the other local heavy metal celebrities at the bar.
And yes, we called Trunk and Green celebrities!
