Metal Sludge — M3 Rock Festival have officially pulled the plug on their 2020 annual weekend event.
Originally scheduled for the spring (May 1-3, 2020) and then postponed to the fall (September 4-6th 2020) it has become clear this year isn’t going to work.
COVID-19 is clearly the reason that so many shows, tours and awesome events like the M3 Rock Festival have had to throw in the towel on 2020.
The official statement from M3 Rock Festival is shared below.
Looking forward to 2021 for everyone.

M3 Rock Festival
22h · M3 Fans,We have been working tirelessly on trying to find a safe way to hold our annual M3 Rock Festival in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. We had really hoped we would be able to figure out a way to pull it off this year, but we ultimately decided that the health and safety of the fans, artists, and staff was not something we could compromise. Aside from the myriad of logistical challenges – artist travel from multiple continents, vendors who have shut down during the pandemic, audience and crew social distancing, etc – we ultimately decided that the safe and responsible thing to do is to reschedule. We refuse to produce an event if we cannot guarantee the safety of all involved. The good news is that the M3 Rock Festival has been rescheduled to April 30 – May 2, 2021. Your tickets will be good for the new date and you don’t need to do anything. We are working on adding some additional bands to enrich the existing lineup. We anticipate having most, if not all, of the original lineup, but are still working through this.So far, Merriweather Post and other I.M.P. venues here have been the leaders in people hanging on to their tickets and supporting the artists (and us). We cannot thank you enough. This is how live music will get back on track. Obviously not all of you will be able to join us, so all ticket holders should checks their emails (and spam folder) from more information. For those who can still attend, from us and our artist friends that are waiting to play for you. THANK YOU.M3 Rock Festival and Merriweather Post Pavillion
