Metal Sludge — Shots have been fired on Twitter…

Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently Tweeted: “Ok here’s a question. Why do bands fight with each other?”

L.A. Guns frontman Phil Lewis was happy to reply: “That’s easy. Some bands go to the trouble of mastering their craft while others mime to a background track. Bound to ruffle some feathers, eh.”

This is not the first time the 2 rockers have exchanged less than favorable words, so it’s a safe bet Mötley Crüe won’t be taking L.A. Guns out on tour anytime soon.

In April of this year, Lewis made headlines on the web saying: “I Never Liked Them” and then called Mötley CrüeF***ing Atrocious.

Also, some of our readers might recall an exchange we shared way back in 2012 between Sixx and Lewis.

Lewis had taken a few quality shots at Sixx about the bassist’s Heroin Diaries and it seemed to have gotten back to the Mötley Crüe co-founder and chief song-writer along the way.

Sixx then answered a Tweet and called Lewis a “sad lil pumpkin.

We shared their 2012 exchanges in our “SAME OL’ SWINDLEarticle when Lewis unloaded on Mötley Crüe in early 2023.
