OUCH!
Stephen Pearcy; “What we really wanted to do was just put the (our) foot… up somebody’s ass!”
From The Road — Ratt made a triumphant return to the East Coast over the recent week.
The Southern California based band strung together shows throughout the Tri-state area making a statement that they are indeed back for more.
The run was highlighted with a stop at the annual M3 Music Festival in Columbia Maryland. Other stops for the band included Huntington, NY, Philadelphia, PA and Stroudsburg, PA.
During the band’s show at the “Theatre of the Living Arts” (TLA) in Philadelphia, singer Stephen Pearcy spent some time with a local fan who seemed excited to interview the singer after the show.
The Youtube interview clip shows a relaxed Pearcy who chats a bit about his solo release “Smash” and the reunited Ratt.
Pearcy, the band’s founding father doesn’t hold back but talks (a bit) in code when he says (at the 7:00 minute mark of the fan filmed youtube interview); “What we really wanted to do was just, put the foot in the door. And up somebody’s ass (laughter). And let the people know, what was really going on. And, that we take this sh?t very seriously.”
Any real Ratt fan who has paid attention to the recent legal battles surrounding the Ratt camp, could only assume the ‘the foot…up somebody’s ass’ just might be referring to the band’s former drummer (Bobby Blotzer).
Ratt is currently booked on major festivals all summer long including appearances at Rocklahoma, Sweden Rock and Rock Fest.
The band is made up of the 3 core original members Stephen Pearcy (vocals), Warren DeMartini (lead guitars) and Juan Croucier (bass).
Along for the ride since 2008 is guitarist Carlos Cavazo (Ex-Quiet Riot) and the band’s new drummer appears to be Jimmy DeGrasso (Ex-Megadeth, Ex-Lita Ford band).
Stay tuned for more from Ratt on tour in 2017.
